I live in a very old, very big house named Blackrock on 6 acres in upstate New York with my husband (A.), our sons (Cubby and Charlie), my mother-in-law (MiL), 3 dogs, 1 cat, 14 sheep, 9 chickens, and 2 goldfish. I grew up typically suburban. Then I met a distinctly atypical country boy who provided the opportunity to live out my latent Laura Ingalls Wilder fantasies. It's a bizarre life, and I wonder every day how I got here. But I'm glad I did.

Oh, my gosh! What an adorable baby!
Such chubby cheeks! What a cutie. I was wondering if you had a bouncer for him. Anna loved hers at that age.
Awwww .......

Makes me wonder what it is about the car he is unhappy with?
Maybe because mommie isn't holding him?
Of course he's happy: No job, no school, room and board, dogs to play with ... Can I trade with him?
(What, me jealous?)
